Backend Developer - Level III

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with Django / Python and Scalable Software Architecture experience. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone with years of experience in both backend development and database structuring experience. This person will work in a group of developers who focus on the main FreeCast product that allows consumers looking for a way to find all of their favorite shows, movies and channels all from one app for free.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code
• Review and Support Development of the product including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Help ensure development of a project meets business objectives, compliance standards and scalability
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in peer code reviews

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Experience working in a small-mid size Team Environment
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints
• Ability to identify gaps, risks and blockers
• Extreme attention to detail

Must Have Experience:

• Django / Python Back-End Development (1-3 Years)
• REST / SOAP API Development (1-3 Years)
• Back-End Development (1-3 Years)
• Scalable Software Architecture and Framework Solutioning (1-3 Years)
• Implementation of Database Structuring (1-3 Years)

Knowledge and hands-on experience in each Technology listed below:

• Apache (v2.0+)
• Python (v3.0+)
• Django (v2.0+)
• REST / SOAP
• MySQL (v5.0+)
• Amazon AWS S3
• Memcached
• Git

Nice to Have Experience:

• Creation of detailed product documentation including diagrams (1-3 Years)
• Technical Specification Writing (1-3 Years)
• ReactJS / HTML5 / CCS3 / JS
