William (Bill) Mobley is a trailblazer in the media industry, known for his creation of no-download media buffering in 1997 used by millions people globally to watch video today, pioneering digital solutions that revolutionize content delivery and consumption. With over 25 years of experience, Bill has consistently led the charge in digital media, fostering growth through strategic partnerships and cutting-edge technologies, including his venture, FreeCast.
His first Media company MegaMedia Networks MegaChannels.com/tv in 1999—the first movie and TV streaming portal on the internet, inclusive of Warner Bros, Miramax, Paramount, and various studio's libraries. MegaChannels featured a diverse range of content, including movies like Top Gun, Enemy of State, Deep Impact, Twister, and TV shows such as Happy Days and The Wonder Years. At its peak in 2000, MegaChannels.com/tv attracted over 800K viewers daily, showcasing the power of media aggregation at a time when Yahoo was handling around 4-5 million searches a day.
Mr. Savine serves as Chief Operations Officer and Head of Finance at FreeCast, putting a wealth of financial experience at high levels within major media companies to good use. Chris Savine is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with a proven track record of financial leadership in large, diversified manufacturing and media businesses; as well as startup and Pre-IPO/Publicly traded companies. Mr. Savine brings with him a strong proven finance background skilled in complex mergers and acquisitions; pre-acquisition due diligence, post acquisition integration, and comprehensive reporting systems to enable management to track progress toward financial goals and objectives
Mr. Savine has held the role of CFO with significant firms including FreeCast where he served as CFO previously from 2014 to 2020, Capital Cities/ABC (The Walt Disney Company), Netscape, AOL Time Warner, RR Donnelley, and Cenveo. Mr. Savine brings into FreeCast significant experience working side by side with CEOs to bring business objectives in line with business plans that lead toward long-term profitability and growth.
Mr.Morris serves as our Chief Financial Officer since his appointment in May 2020.
Mr. Morris has over 23 years of experience as a finance executive holding key leadership positions in financial management, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and both merchant banking and investment banking.
Mr. Morris previously worked in various private family offices managing direct investments and special opportunities, where his primary responsibilities included investment sourcing and long-term strategic partnerships with core stakeholders both domestically and internationally as well as serving as CFO of key portfolio investments. Prior to that, he served in technology, media and telecommunications with Blackstone Group and before that, he held positions within investment banking divisions of Credit Suisse.
Mr. Morris began his career in the merchant banking division of Lombard, Odier et Cie, a private bank in Switzerland. Mr. Morris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Georgetown University.
FreeCast welcomes Mr. Genrich as Chief Revenue Officer, where he will lead the company’s development of commercial partnerships across multiple industries. This is a critical role, as FreeCast’s business model promises higher margins and reduced churn as a direct result of its relationships with distribution and advertising partners.
Erik Genrich joins FreeCast following roles as a Vice President for Hotwire Communications, a nationally known fiber-optic internet service provider, Regional Director for Lumen Technologies (formerly known as CenturyLink), and a Regional Manager for T-Mobile. This amounts to over 25 years of experience leading telecom teams in sales and operations, particularly in the MDU, HOA/COA, hospitality, developer, and reseller channels.
Gary Engel, our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), joined our ranks in May 2023, enriching our team with a wealth of experience from his roles at Warner Bros Discovery, A+E Networks, and Viacom (now Paramount), spanning an impressive 25-year tenure.
During his formative years at Viacom, spanning 13 influential years, Gary contributed significantly to the programming, acquisitions, and promotion of TV Land and Nick at Nite. His strategic insights helped establish a solid foundation for the success of these renowned channels. At A+E Networks, Gary pioneered a groundbreaking marketing analytics group and demonstrated his prowess in both traditional and data-driven approaches through his leadership in linear marketing. His strategic acumen continued to shine at Warner Bros Discovery, where he orchestrated the successful launch of Discovery Plus and adeptly managed promotions for HBO Max, Warner Bros Movies, and over 40 linear channels.Guiding our marketing initiatives at FreeCast, Gary's visionary approach seamlessly combines traditional and innovative strategies to foster brand loyalty, consumer engagement, and strategic growth.
Tracy West joined FreeCast’s executive team, following years of consulting with well-known domestic and international broadcast networks, channel distributors, television programmers and entertainment platforms. As FreeCast expands its own relationships with content owners and channel providers, along with expanding SelectTV’s entertainment experience, Mrs. West’s wide-ranging knowledge, contacts and business acumen will be invaluable to those efforts.
For over three decades, Mrs. West has been involved in crafting and executing profitable business plans to strategically deliver high-quality multi-channel entertainment options to consumers, either through her successful consulting company or through her employment opportunities. Her track record of operational excellence and success has afforded Mrs. West an executive career advancement in the telecommunications, media and consumer product industries. As Vice President of DISH Network’s International Programming and Marketing division, a unit that she herself built from the ground up, West ran all aspects of the business, resulting in a very profitable division for a Fortune 300 company. Mrs. West successfully negotiated over 350 international channel agreements from 60 countries and was afforded several distinguished employee awards during her time at DISH.
Prior to DISH Network, Mrs. West held several Director and Manager roles at EchoStar Communications Corporation in Colorado and EchoStar International in Almelo, The Netherlands. Mrs. West also worked as a strategic consultant with Neulion and BlueSnap.
Irwin Podhajser comes aboard FreeCast where he will supervise media buying and major network partnerships for the company which is a unique entry into the “cable alternative” arena.
Mr. Podhajser was previously the VP of Business Development for DTV America which held 450 television licenses throughout 118 top markets in the United States and distribution of media brands such as; Laff, Bounce, Movies!, Comet, GetTV, Escape, COZI, BUZZR, MyTV, QVC, Telemundo, Azteca, Estrella, Antenna TV, Decades, GRIT and many others. Mr. Podhajser was responsible for programming each of these stations and creating strategic local partnerships that allow local organizations to have full access to their own television channel. Programming on these stations ranged from Spanish-language to general entertainment and healthily living. Under Mr. Podhasjer’s leadership, DTV America garnered distribution agreements with some of the nation’s largest content providers including, Comcast/NBC/Universal, FOX television, Sony Television, Katz Broadcasting, Tribune Media, Weigel Broadcasting Co, MGM, Sinclair Broadcast Group and Freemantle Media. DTV America was acquired in June 2017 and Majority owned by telecommunications conglomerate HC2 Holdings.
