Science Channel Xploration Station Launches on FreeCast
September 12, 2023
FreeCast is announcing the launch of Xploration Station on the company’s free ad-supported television (FAST) platform. This makes the educational science channel the latest to join over 700 free channels available on FreeCast’s service. The free aggregated streaming service continues to grow, adding new streaming channels and on-demand content on a regular basis.
Xploration Station is a science channel, featuring educational programming designed to inspire students to become interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The channel boasts high quality, award-winning content, having received 3 Emmy awards and 23 nominations. Xploration Station’s programming is produced to meet federal educational programming guidelines, making it appropriate for schools and classrooms across the country. The deal was negotiated on behalf of Steve Rotfeld Productions by its Head of Digital, DJ Dodd.
Tracy West, FreeCast’s Executive Vice President of Digital Content, discussed the value the channel brings to the company’s lineup: “It’s so important to get kids interested in STEM at a young age, and what better way to do that than with award-winning, entertaining television? Xploration Station is also a great resource for parents, who can give their kids something educational to watch for free that’s not just Youtube or cartoons.”
"We're happy to be joining FreeCast," said Steve Rotfeld, President of Steve Rotfeld Productions. “We feel like our content is a perfect fit for the platform, and continuing to expand our FAST channel reach with a great partner is very exciting.”
